Pines Health Services has once again earned recognition as one of the Best Places to Work in Maine, marking the fifth time the organization has received the prestigious distinction.
Announced by the Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management (MESHRM), Best Companies Group and BridgeTower Media, the Best Places to Work in Maine program recognizes employers across the state that are creating outstanding workplaces where employees feel valued, supported and connected to their organization’s mission.
For Pines Health Services, the recognition is about much more than a place on a list. It reflects the people who make Pines what it is. Every day, Pines employees bring compassion, expertise, and a commitment to excellence to their work, caring for patients, supporting their colleagues, and helping create healthier communities throughout Aroostook County.

The Best Places to Work in Maine program identifies and celebrates outstanding employers in three categories based on workforce size: small employers, medium employers with more than 50 and fewer than 250 employees, and large employers with 250 or more employees. Pines Health Services was recognized in the medium employer category.
Selection for the program includes a comprehensive employee survey and an assessment of workplace practices. Best Companies Group manages the registration and survey process, analyzes the results and determines the final rankings.
While Pines has already earned its place among Maine’s Best Places to Work, the organization’s final ranking will be announced during the Best Places to Work in Maine awards celebration on October 13, 2026.
