Primary care is heath care that considers the whole person from an integrated physical and behavioral health perspective. To name just a few examples, primary care includes care for existing medical needs, preventive care services, and planning of care for chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and heart disease.
Pines Family Practitioners deliver quality, compassionate care, and are focused on achieving better health care one patient at a time.
Family Practitioners provide primary care to patients of all ages, and they often provide annual physicals, disease management, follow-up care for hospitalized patients, and minor surgeries that can be performed in an outpatient setting. A family practitioner may be an MD (Doctor of Medicine) or a DO (Doctor of Osteopathy). Physician Assistants (PA-Cs) and Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) also provide primary care under the direction of a physician.
