2010) The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention recognized Pines Health Services, Cary Medical Center, Eastern Aroostook School District RSU 39, and Caribou Fire and Ambulance Department with the Director's Award at the 2010 Maine Immunization Program Conference.
“Due to you and your partners' diligence in promoting influenza vaccine to remote communities in northern Maine in the past 10 years or so, especially your impressive collaborative efforts providing the noval H1N1 influenza vaccine and the seasonal influenza vaccine to school children through school influenza vaccine clinics in 2009-2010 influenca season, the Maine Immunization Program would like to recognize your excellence in protecting school children and the local communities from influenza with a shared Director's Award. Congratulations!,” said Jiancheng Hang, Director, Maine Immunization Program, in a letter to Pines CEO Jim Davis.
Pines shares the award with the Flu Shot Program at Cary Medical Center, Eastern Aroostook School District RUS 39, and Caribou Fire and Ambulance Department.
Hang added, “Again congratulations on your outstanding accomplishment and thank you for your dedication in preventing influenza in school children and communities in your service area.”
