Description:
Pines Health Services has an immediate full-time opening for a Medical Assistant at their Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Health Center located in Caribou. Qualified applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the vision, mission, and goals of PHS, modeling the values and culture while delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities will include: communicating and preparing patients for procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety, supporting providers in the office to include triaging patients, providing patient education, entering patient data into the electronic medical record, screening patient calls to the providers and assisting providers with procedures. The position will also be responsible for scheduling surgical procedures including total joint replacements. Qualified applicants must be competent with computers, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be an outstanding listener, be a problem solver, prioritize workload, and be able to work professionally and independently.

The successful applicant must know human resources concepts, practices, policies and procedures, and employment laws.

Preferred applicants should have a clinical background at the LPN or RN level, with prior supervisory experience. The applicant must be competent with computers, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be an outstanding listener, be a problem solver, be able to meet agreed-upon delivery deadlines and prioritize workload, and be able to work professionally and independently.

Specific qualifications for the Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW role include: working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatment for mental health issues and substance abuse. Must possess the ability to design and implement clinical pathways and protocols for treatment of chronic conditions. Applicants must hold a Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work or Human Services and maintain a Maine state Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor license.
