Pines Health Services is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead one of the nation’s top Federally Qualified Health Centers and community –based physician practice in Aroostook County. The experienced professional will lead a team of more than 150 dynamic employees including 45 health care providers with multi-specialty staff. The CEO will work with an engaged Board of Directors in collaboration with Cary Medical Center a General Acute Care Hospital serving Aroostook County since 1924.

The successful applicant will have a minimum five years health care experience at the senior management level. Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or equivalent education required. Masters preferred. Prior experience working within the Federally Qualified Health Center system a plus.

Pines Health Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Director of Finance. This detail-oriented and motivated individual will direct the overall financial management and financial system planning of this multi-site, multi-specialty physicians’ practice management organization under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer. Qualified candidates will be responsible for all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and budgeting. Additionally, the candidate will perform a lead role in working with our independent auditors, reporting provider productivity on a routine basis, identifying opportunities for improved financial performance across the practice, and preparing various financial and statistical reports required by regulatory agencies.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent work experience. S/he must be able to prepare monthly financial statements for review by the CEO, COO, and presentation to the Board of Directors. Proficiency is required with Windows-based software including Excel and Word, as well as the Peachtree 2018 accounting software package.

Description:
Pines Health Services has an immediate position for a Nutrition Educator. The Educator will be working on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed): Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Grant Program. This grant teaches eligible low-income community members how to eat healthy on a limited budget and lead physically active lifestyles. Strong candidates will have a background in providing education or formal training and experience teaching nutrition using prescribed curricula. This position will be required to keep detailed records for reporting and evaluation. The candidate will work independently, be well-organized, and possess strong attention to detail. Travel is required throughout the local service area and occasionally to statewide training in a central location (1-2 per year). Qualified applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, public health, exercise science, health education or behavioral sciences preferred. Comparable experience may be substituted. Registered Dietitian preferred with experience in implementing nutrition education and obesity prevention services and policies in school or community settings. Experience using Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel. Must hold a valid Maine driver's license and reliable transportation. Position is temporary with the potential for future permanent status; Grant Funded.
